Mind and Breath offers meditation courses and breathing courses here in Wanaka, New Zealand facilitated by Susan Allen. Susan has been sharing and teaching meditation for 20 years and facilitating Buteyko Method breathing courses for 10 years.

Our mind and our breath are two intimate parts of our experience. The way we relate to these two aspects of ourselves will significantly influence our wellbeing and our relationship to our life and others.

It is a curious exploration to softly explore how the mind works and how the breath influences all. At Mind and Breath we offer structured courses that will guide you, inform you and give you the tools to set a new direction.

BREATHING SEMINAR - FREE ENTRY

In this evening seminar Susan will cover the basics of respiratory health – what is functional breathing, what are the symptoms of dysfunctional breathing and what are the detrimental effects on one’s health? 

Common symptoms of dysfunctional breathing are: sighing, snoring, asthma, coughing, noisy breathing, holding the breath, anxiety, insomnia, hay fever, sneezing, nasal congestion, mouth breathing, bad breath and poor concentration.

Come along to this free evening talk and learn if breathing re-training will be beneficial to you in improving your physiological and emotional health.

As breathing is one of the body’s primary foundational processes, for true health and wellbeing it is essential that the breath is optimal. For all that complete this program it is transformational in regards to health and wellbeing.

Susan Allen has been working in this field for 22 years and is passionate about continuing her work in the Wanaka community. We look forward to having you join us for these offerings.

Our Introduction to Meditation 8 week course will give you confidence and competency in beginning a regular, transformative meditation practice. Meditation is about understanding the mind, seeing its habits of distracted thought and reactive emotions, and discovering how to move beyond that; instead of always operating from the busyness of thought, we learn to operate from a non-conditioned awareness; awareness that is rooted in the present moment experience, awareness that is non-reactive, spacious and joyful.
